Xinhua News Agency Beijing, April 8 (Hu Lu)In recent years, China’s flower industry has developed rapidly, but due to the impact of the global epidemic, uncertainties are increasing.Zhang Yichao, secretary general of the China Flower Association, said recently that the association will take market demand as the guidance, rely on scientific and technological progress, actively expand consumption channels, and promote high-quality development of the flower industry.Despite the impact of the epidemic, China’s flower industry got off to a good start in 2021 during the 14th Five-Year Plan period, Zhang said at the 2022 National Flower Production and sales Conference hosted by the China Flower Association.In particular, the total import and export trade of flowers exceeded us $700 million for the first time, up 12.66% from 2020.The production level of flowers has improved significantly, the product mix has been constantly optimized, consumption channels have been increasingly expanded, and the pace of transformation and upgrading has been accelerated.He said China’s flower industry is still facing severe challenges such as the impact of the epidemic and weakening demand.China Flower Association will promote seed industry innovation, change marketing methods, use 5G technology, artificial intelligence, digital flowers to broaden the flower consumption field, so that more and better flower products more convenient and fast into the lives of ordinary people, rural revitalization and urban greening and beautification construction to go;In the next step, we will actively promote the preparation and holding of major flower events, strengthen international exchanges and cooperation, actively expand the international market and expand the flower export trade.
