The epicenter was located at 34.24 degrees north latitude and 101.30 degrees east longitude, with a depth of 10 kilometers, according to the China Earthquake Networks Center (CENC).The earthquake within 5 kilometers of the surrounding villages have Lang Guo er, Zhou Ruo, Maiguo Er ruo, Dun Red village, Gong Zhou village, Te Mai Ruo, Garra Ruo, Wo Dan Heat an, Wo Dan heat Sang, 20 kilometers of the township has Oula Xiu ma township.The epicenter was 62 kilometers from Henan Mongolian Autonomous County, 76 kilometers from Maqu County, 90 kilometers from Zeku County, 92 kilometers from Jiuzhi County, 101 kilometers from Maqin County, 100 kilometers from Guolao Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture, 169 kilometers from Gannan Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture, 307 kilometers from Lanzhou city, 269 kilometers from Xining City.The average altitude within 5 kilometers of the epicenter was about 3479 meters.According to the China Earthquake Network Speed report directory, in the past five years, there have been 28 earthquakes of magnitude 3 or above within 200 kilometers of the epicenter. The largest earthquake was a magnitude 5.7 earthquake in Xiahe County, Gannan Prefecture of Gansu Province on October 28, 2019 (159 kilometers away from the epicenter).
