In December 2021, about 66,300 tourists visited Argentina, up 339.3% year on year, according to the Argentine National Bureau of Statistics.Some 85,600 Argentines also left the country, up 63 percent year on year.As a result, the gap between the number of inbound and outbound tourists was 19,300 in December last year and 417,500 for the whole year.The majority of arrivals through Ezeiza International airport and Aeroparque Jorge Newbery airport were from Europe, accounting for 27.5 percent;Visitors from the United States and Canada were next at 23 percent.In contrast, 26.9 percent of Argentines went to South American countries through the two airports.Followed by the United States and Canada, accounting for 26.3%;Sixteen percent went to Europe.In the fourth quarter of last year, Argentine inbound tourists increased by 375.3% year on year, of which 28.7% came from Europe, 21.6% from the United States and Canada, and 14.7% from Latin America.(Huang Dong)
